Supported living

What is supported living?

supported living is a service that helps people to retain their independence whilst having that extra physical and emotional support.

people living in supportive housing have their own tenancy and live in a personalised home sought out by Arona support, the individuals that use our service will still have full control over all their bills, household chores and other responsibilities that are involved with living in your own home. support is provided separately by Arona support to minimise conflict and maxamise independence to support them to achieve their goals.

Arona support have different supported living accommodation options across the UK.

our supported living services enable individuals living with complex needs to live in their own homes in the community, whilst being supported to minimise risks and increase their level of independence.

all support provided by Arona support is designed around the individuals needs and wishes and support is carried out in a person centered way.

what to expect when moving into supported living.

A move into supported living can be the first time someone has left their family home or taken a step towards an increased level of independence, and so our staff are here to offer a friendly face and provide emotional support to make the transition smooth, positive and as stress-free as possible.

it is important when moving into supported living that you take the time to tell Arona support what you would like or need in your home, to create a comfortable, happy and safe environment. this enables us to support you in picking the right home that will enable you to achieve your goals and maximise independence levels.

we understand it is really important to have the right support network beside you, so we make sure to carefully match our support team with each person, considering our teams skills, knowledge and personality traits to ensure we nurture friendly but professional relationships.

What our Service users think about living with Arona support

I Like being supported by Arona support because they encourage me to get involved in activities and they have helped me with appointments with my social worker and managing my finances.

Arona support is very good because they encourage me to do things such as daily activities, going out and about, cleaning my home, and cooking my meals.

I have a good time with my staff going into town, visiting the market, going bowling, going for walks and sometimes playing darts and pool.

The best thing about Arona Support is they support me whenever i need it, they help me with shopping, and accessing the community, i struggle with getting frustrated and they got me a punching bag to use instead of hurting my hands by punching walls. i am able to use the punching bag to get out my energy and frustrations.
